Great Product and it didn't break the bank September 3, 2009 C. Weeks Worked just as advertised. It popped my wiper arms right off without damaging them.
I needed to spray paint the wiper arms due to oxidation caused be the Florida heat.
They were really stuck on there and this tool removed them easily.
thanks.
Works as advertised! March 27, 2007 T. Franza 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I needed to reset the wiper arms on my BMW after a windshield replacement. A puller is necessary to remove the arms from the splined shafts. I ordered this tool and received it within a few days. It did the job flawlessly. Very simple to use.
a good tool March 13, 2010 Northeaster (Boston, MA) This is a solid feeling puller which has probably been downgraded slightly from the illustrated version, but still seems well up to the task for which it was designed.
As you hold it, there is a clear sense of heft from the solid metal crossbar and puller arms, which take by far the major share of the load. The screw moves true and square, though the point of the shaft is not perfect. The light colored (aluminum?) metal cone in the illustration has been replaced with a solid feeling piece of ABS plastic which won't see a lot of load but would still be better in the original metal form.
This is like a number of other Lisle specialty tools I have used. The surface finish isn't very sexy, but it is apparently a pretty clever, very well constructed piece that is not shipping jobs overseas. I like it.
Works on 2001 bmw 325i May 25, 2010 linus_nc (NC) I got this puller from Amazon and it worked on my 2001 BMW 325i. It is short enough to fit on both wipers with the hood open. Although I could have managed without changing the tool, I modified mine a bit though after doing one wiper: I cut off the little collar at the tip of the screw that rests on the wiper. I did this because it allowed me to pull the wiper entirely off the car by rotating the puller handle, otherwise the wiper would stop just short of the end. This little collar diameter needs to be smaller or cut it off entirely like i did. I pressed on a smaller diameter brass bushing that I had lying around so it doesn't look like a typical Dremel hack job. So minus one star for it's rest collar being larger than it's pull bolt, otherwise nice tool. You can clearly see in the picture that this collar tip is bigger then the bolt, but my complaint is that it is way bigger than it needs to be or perhaps should have been easy to remove.
Works June 1, 2010 Roger Stenerson (Sunnyvale, CA USA) I needed to pull and recenter a rear wiper blade. With this tool it was a simple task.
