Driver's side blind spot eliminated January 11, 2010 Ted Ichino (Redondo Beach, CA USA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I put one of these on my driver's side side-view mirror a few days ago. I have used a "wedge" blind spot mirror for years and swore by it, but the image was always a bit small, especially for night driving. This mirror, when properly adjusted, is like a giant wedge mirror that gives a clear view of the next lane over. I initially installed it on the top of the side view mirror, but switched to the bottom for a number of reasons: 1) If the paint gets scratched, no one will notice if the scratches are on the underside of the side view mirror--but they will definitely notice scratches on the top, 2) It's a lot harder to bump or knock off when it's mounted underneath the existing mirror rather than on top of it, 3) It's not as noticeable down there since the top of my side view mirror is curved--the bottom is flat and this mirror mounts flat, 4) It works just as well on the bottom as it does on the top, 5) It's no harder to install underneath than it is on top.
But wherever you mount it, you should be pleased with the amount of additional visibility. It appears to be made from glass rather than coated plastic, and the earlier reviews seem to bear this out. Plastic mirrors get pitted and dull and are pretty much useless after a year, while glass mirrors stay clear and bright indefinitely. I had to adjust mine to the extreme limit of its range before I got the same blind spot coverage as the wedge mirror provides, but unlike the wedge mirror, this mirror shows the entire lane rather than just the "blind spot" gap that neither the side view nor the rear view mirrors cover. While it is possible to adjust the side view mirrors to eliminate all blind spots without buying an aftermarket mirror, you won't be able to see what's alongside of your car if you do this. This mirror gives you the best of both worlds. Highly recommended. I haven't removed the wedge mirror yet, but as soon as I have become used to looking at the new mirror rather than at the wedge mirror, the wedge will be history.
Best blind spot mirror on the market March 29, 2009 Omar D. Durant (Albuquerque) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have put these Hercules blind spot mirrors on my three vehicles and have moved them from vehicles I have sold to current ones. It is easy to attach, easy for older eyes to focus on and is adjustable separately from the regular side mirror.
This item is well engineered and well constructed. Very good item for the money. And it really increases your safety whether in the fast lane or the slow lane.
Easy to install. A great safety tool! September 11, 2009 Jack Toy (Edmonton, AB, Canada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought two of these after I saw a YouTube video showing how to install one of these. I have had tem for about two months and have had them on one road trip. Works fine. Highly recommend them.

Easy to mount, adequately adjustable, good image quality.
All "simple" products should work so well...
Get the big picture February 12, 2010 Theodore Bock (Pittsburgh, Pa home of the Champion Steelers and Penguins) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Always had trouble with those small spot mirrors-you could never really see how close another vehicle was when it was night. These are great. Big viewing surface, easy to install or remove if you change vehicles, and are adjustable.
